The ICT Division shall be responsible for the management and enhancement of information technology and communications within the organisation. It shall consist of the following units:
Information Technology Unit (ITU)
- Enhance and bolster information technology within the organisation;
- Commence development plans and offer technical support for the implementation of system and software applications in the organization;
- Prepare the budget and acquire information technology equipment;
- Repairs and maintenance of IT equipment;
- Recommend gadgets and IT equipment for crime prevention, surveillance, investigation, and detection of crime;
- Installation, inspection, and maintenance of CCTV equipment.
- Develop online services for the RBP and the public; and
- Carry out any other assigned task.
Communication Unit
- Improve and streamline organisational communication.
- Coordinate with relevant agencies regarding police wireless frequencies and bands.
- Plan and acquire communication equipment;
- Ensure an effective wireless and telephonic communication network in the organization;
- Repair and maintenance of communication equipment; and
- Carry out any other assigned task.
