Under the Government of India’s Project Tied Assistance (PTA) framework, five officers of the Royal Bhutan Police successfully completed a week-long course on “Investigation of Cyber Crime Against Women, Children, and Their Safety-Related Issues” at the Central Detective Training Institute (CDTI), Hyderabad, from 10–14 November 2025.
Organized by the Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D), the program featured comprehensive classroom sessions and hands-on training covering digital forensics; an overview of cybercrimes targeting women and children; typologies of online offences; deepfakes and verification techniques; procedures for collecting and preserving cyber evidence; investigation of social media-related cases; and relevant legal frameworks.
The training has significantly strengthened the participating officers’ ability to investigate cyber offences affecting women and children, manage sensitive cases with professionalism and empathy, and apply international best practices in prevention, detection, and prosecution.
The Royal Bhutan Police extends its sincere appreciation to the Government of India for its continued support and partnership in building policing capacity.
