On 21 May 2026, the Honourable Chief of Police presented commendation letters and monetary incentives to two personnel of the RBP, Drimpen Sangay Dorji and Pelpon Gem Dorji, from Division XI Thimphu, in acknowledgment of their exemplary service.
The Chief of Police expressed his sincere appreciation for their professionalism, vigilance, promptness, and dedication to duty, all of which significantly contributed to the successful apprehension of four suspects on 15 May involved in a series of Chorten vandalism cases.
Their commendable efforts exemplify the RBP’s steadfast dedication to safeguarding sacred heritage sites, maintaining the rule of law, and guaranteeing peace and security within the community.
