With the objective to institutionalize, strengthen, and implement an effective women and child protection and response system through efficient and fast service delivery, a Women and Child Protection Desk at Royal Bhutan Police station, PemaGatshel was launched today.
The occasion was graced by Ven. Lam Neten, Dasho Dzongdag, Dasho Drangpon, Dasho SP, Dasho Dzongrab, Gups and relevant stakeholders.
The institution of this service aims not only to work toward efficient services for affected individuals but prevention at source through advocacies and collaboration in order to eradicate violence against women and children in the Dzongkhag.
