Swiss Delegates Visit Traffic Division and Wangduephodrang Dzong
On 17 October 2025, the delegation from Switzerland visited the Traffic Division of the Royal Bhutan Police, where they were briefed on the modern traffic equipment and gear procured through the generous support of the Canton of Zurich, Switzerland. The Division expressed heartfelt appreciation for the continued assistance in providing advanced traffic management devices, motorcycles, electric vehicles, and specialized training for traffic personnel—all of which have significantly enhanced traffic management and road safety across the country. The visit also included a traffic enforcement demonstration at Namseling, showcasing the practical application of modern enforcement technologies supported under the project.
On 18 October 2025, the Swiss delegates visited Wangduephodrang Dzong to observe the fire safety installations implemented under the Fire Safety Project. The team inspected hydrants, pumps, control panels, and emergency exits to assess operational readiness and compliance with safety standards. The delegates commended the excellent fire prevention systems in place and lauded the Royal Bhutan Police for its strong commitment to safeguarding Bhutan’s cultural heritage sites.
