The Traffic Division of the Royal Bhutan Police notifies the general public on following traffic restrictions during the Royal Visit of Their Majesties the King and Queen of Thailand to Bhutan from 25–28 April, 2025.
1. Thimphu–Paro Highway: Traffic Freeze
• On 25 April all types of vehicles: Restricted from 08:00 hrs to 11:00 hrs.
• On 28 April all types of vehicles: Restricted from 10:30 hrs to 13:00 hrs.
2. Expressway Closure
• April 25: 11:00 hrs – 13:00 hrs
• April 28: 10:30 hrs – 11:30 hrs
3. Norzin Lam will be closed from the night of April 24 until 13:00 hrs on April 25.
4. Handicrafts Road (Chubachu Roundabout to Hotel Pemako) will remain closed from April 25 to 28.
5. Core City & Other Routes
• Expect frequent vehicle movement freezes and diversions between April 25–28.
