The MoP went missing on 19/04/2026 between 1400–1500hrs from the Ekazati Ngye area across Amochhu/Toorsa, Phuntsholing. Upon receipt of the complaint, the police team initiated an immediate search on the night of 20/04/2026 but was unable to trace the missing person. On 21/04/2026, a search and rescue team was formed and deployed along the Amochhu/Toorsa riverbank; however, he was not found. Further, a search was conducted again on 25/04/2026 along the Amochhu/Toorsa riverbank towards Jaigoan, India, Ekazati Ngye area, and towards Tading Gewog, Samtse, but he could not be traced.
On the other hand, the Jaigoan Police counterparts have also been coordinated to provide search assistance. However, to date, the MoP remains missing.
At the time of his disappearance, the MoP was last seen wearing a black sleeveless shirt (tank top) paired with black knee-length shorts with white stripes near the hem. He was wearing white socks and green-and-white athletic shoes.
