This division shall consist of the following units:

Finance and Accounts Unit

  • Keep financial records according to the financial manual;
  • Examine the bills before making payments.
  • Process for timely release of the capital budget;
  • Allocate recurrent budgets to the divisions;
  • Monitor and assess the organisation’s overall expenditure;
  • Update the DCOP AFD and SSP AFB regarding the budgetary position of the organisation;
  • Prepare the monthly accounts for subsequent submission to the Department of Treasury Accounts;
  • Coordinate with the Planning and Development Division regarding matters relating to finance and accounts; and
  • Carry out any other assigned task.

Budget Unit

  • Compile and submit the Royal Bhutan Police’s annual budget proposals, in consultation with the respective divisions, to the Planning and Development Division for further compilation and submission.
  • Conduct the annual mid-term budget review in consultation and coordination with the divisions.
  • Advise the management on budgetary policies;
  • Share budgetary information with the divisions and units within the organisation.
  • Oversee and direct the accounts staff;
  • Prepare and submit the progress report to PDD.
  • Coordinate with the Planning and Development Division regarding budget matters; and
  • Carry out any other assigned task.
