The Royal Bhutan Police conducted an awareness session for Paro International Airport’s security personnel and staff.
On June 16, 2025, the Royal Bhutan Police facilitated a sensitization and awareness program for security personnel and staff at Paro International Airport. The purpose of the session was to augment awareness regarding crime prevention, drug abuse, and the collective responsibility of all stakeholders in upholding the safety and security of one of the nation’s most pivotal entry points.
Key topics addressed during the session encompassed crime prevention and drug-related matters; the critical role of airport security personnel; cybercrime and online fraud; the obligation of airport management in safeguarding safety and security; challenges pertinent to the smuggling of hard drugs and gold; and the significance of inter-agency coordination and collaboration.
362 participants from various agencies operating at Paro International Airport attended the program.
