On January 17, 2025, the Royal Bhutan Police (RBP) met with a delegation from the U.S. State Department and officials from the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi. The delegation included Mr Patrick Kelly, Foreign Affairs Officer from the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons at the U.S. State Department, and Mr Dane Robbins, Second Secretary of the Bhutan Unit at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi.
During the meeting, the delegation and the RBP engaged in productive discussions on combating human trafficking, focusing on prevention, prosecution, and victim protection.
