On January 8, 2025, the Royal Bhutan Police met with TikTok officials at the RBP headquarters. Discussions focused on enhancing the responsible and positive use of social media, fostering a positive online environment, and exploring areas of collaboration and assistance between the RBP and TikTok.
This meeting underscored the shared commitment of the RBP and concerned stakeholders, in collaboration with TikTok, to safeguard the social media rights of all, prevent criminals, human/drug traffickers, and individuals with self-serving interests from exploiting these platforms for personal gain and creating disharmony within society
