Lost and Found Incident – Honesty in Action
On May 27, 2025, Mr. Kamaldar Mukhiya, a 48-year-old Indian national employed as a day labourer in Gelephu, voluntarily returned a lost purse to the Gelephu Police Station. The purse contained a total of Nu. 1,230 in cash, as well as several important personal documents.
Upon receipt of the item, the police conducted due verification procedures and successfully identified the rightful owner as Mr. Pema Rinzin. The lost belongings were returned to Mr. Rinzin in accordance with established protocols and appropriate documentation.
The Royal Bhutan Police extends its profound appreciation for the sincerity, integrity, and civic responsibility exemplified by Mr. Kamaldar Mukhiya. His outstanding conduct reflects robust personal values and serves as an inspiring testament to the significance of honesty and community trust.
