- Gather intelligence and information regarding criminal and subversive activities directed against the Tsa-Wa-Sum.
- Receive, compile and analyse the intelligence report, and submit it to the relevant authorities.
- Provide threat assessment information to security and field divisions for the protection of VIPs and critical installations, and submit the assessment report to the Chief of Police;
- Conduct investigations into subversive activities and other sensitive cases as directed by the Chief Police;
- Share any criminal intelligence with the field divisions and other operational divisions; and
- Carry out any other assigned task.
