Honest Citizen Returns Lost Cash and Identification Card
The Royal Bhutan Police commends the exemplary honesty and civic responsibility demonstrated by Mr. Cheki Gyeltshen, a 27-year-old painter from Yumche village, Jaray Gewog under Lhuentse Dzongkhag.
On 12 June 2025, at approximately 1025 hours, Mr. Cheki reported to the Gelephu Police Station and voluntarily handed over a sum of Nu. 10,000/- along with a Citizenship Identity Card, which he had found near Dadgari Junction at Namkhaling while on his way to work.
Following standard verification procedures, the Police were able to identify the rightful owner of the lost items as Drimpon Namgay Wangdi of RBA Wing XII.
The Royal Bhutan Police deeply appreciates Mr. Cheki Gyeltshen’s integrity and hopes that his action will inspire others to uphold the values of honesty and public service.
