The field divisions must report crime-related issues and situations to the operations branch and be accountable for the following:
- The maintenance of law and order within their jurisdiction;
- Prevent, investigate, and detect criminal cases.
- Oversee and supervise investigations at the police stations;
- There shall be a number of police stations, community police centres, Gewog Gagdey, check posts and outposts as prescribed under the rules and
- Any other functions that are assigned.
