Recognizing the critical role of police officials as the first point of contact for Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL), on 07 March 2025 the Legal Aid Center organized a comprehensive, day-long sensitization workshop. The primary objective of the workshop was to enhance awareness and understanding of the “Framework and Toolkit on Access to Legal Aid for CICL During the Pretrial Stage.” This framework was developed as a mechanism to ensure child-friendly and child-sensitive legal aid, particularly at the pretrial stage. The workshop reinforced the significance of legal aid for CICLs and the essential role of police officials in facilitating access to justice.
