This Division shall primarily manage and conduct investigations of any heinous criminal cases, with assistance from the following units:
Special Investigation Unit
- Conduct a criminal investigation into heinous unsolved cases;
- Assist in conducting investigations into heinous crimes as directed;
- Receive and submit crime reports to the relevant authorities;
- Conduct a special investigation into undetected cases based on submissions made to the DCOP and COD by the field divisions;
- Conduct both overt and covert investigations of cases as directed by the DCOP and COD; and
- Carry out any other assigned task.
Anti-Money Laundering and Organized Crime Unit
- Carry out both overt and covert investigations of cases involving economic crimes as directed by the DCOP, COD;
- Gather intelligence and information about criminal activities;
- Share the collected information with the relevant officers; and
- Carry out any other assigned task.
Canine Unit
- Train and maintain the dog squad.
- Deploy the team for investigation, anti-sabotage, and crowd control.
- Plan for future requirements, procurement, and breeding; and
- Carry out any other assigned task.
