Successful Conclusion of NDPS & NDIS Training
The 11-day training on Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) and the Narcotic Drugs Information System (NDIS) successfully concluded on 31st March 2025.
The closing ceremony was graced by the Hon’ble Chief of Police and attended by the Additional Chief of Police, Senior Officers, as well as officials from The PEMA Secretariat and the Bhutan Food and Drug Authority (BFDA).
A total of 55 participants took part in the training, comprising 42 police personnel and 13 officials from Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Units across the country.
A key highlight of the event was the official launch of the Narcotic Drugs Information System (NDIS), a significant step toward enhancing data management and information-sharing on drug-related offenses.
The training aimed to strengthen law enforcement capacities in tackling narcotics-related crimes and improve coordination among stakeholders involved in drug control and rehabilitation efforts.
