The Basic Firefighting Induction Course officially commenced today, March 3, 2025, at the Fire and Rescue Services Division. The opening ceremony was attended by the Additional Chief of Police and the Deputy Chief of Police, Special Police Department.
In his address, the ACoP emphasized the Royal Bhutan Police’s vital role in emergency response, highlighting that this firefighting training is timely and essential for personnel. He noted that firefighting is a noble yet high-risk profession, and this course aims to equip participants with fundamental skills and knowledge to respond to fire emergencies confidently and competently.
The induction course is designed for 52 personnel selected from various divisions, with training conducted in two batches. The first batch of 26 participants has commenced their two-week training, concentrating on the core principles of firefighting, safety procedures, and emergency response techniques. This initiative highlights the RBP’s commitment to enhancing emergency preparedness and ensuring its personnel are well-trained to protect lives and property.
