Capacity Building Training on Forensic Toxicology and NDPS Conducted for RBP Officers
With the initiative of the Crime and Operations Department and the kind approval of the Hon’ble Chief of Police, a two–day training program on Forensic Toxicology and Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) commenced today, 8th September 2025, at the Royal Bhutan Police Headquarters.
The training is being delivered by Dr. R. K. Gupta, retired Deputy Director of the State Forensic Science Laboratory, Chhattisgarh, India. Dr. Gupta has over 38 years of experience in forensic science and is conducting this session on a voluntary basis as a gesture of professional goodwill and support.
A total of 21 officers from across the country are attending the training. The program is designed to enhance their knowledge and skills in toxicology and in handling drug-related cases, thereby strengthening investigative capacity and supporting the effective enforcement of narcotics and psychotropic substances regulations.
