A heartfelt appreciation to Damche Norbu, a Class X student of Lungtenzampa MSS, and his sister, Sonam Yuden, for handing over an ash-coloured bag they found in the main town area to the Central Thimphu Police Station on 16 October 2026.
The bag contained a substantial amount of cash, comprising Nu. 31,270 in old Bhutanese currency, Nu. 4,200 in new Bhutanese currency, and INR 1,000 in Indian currency, along with a CID card. The items were subsequently verified and returned to the rightful owner.
Their honesty and sense of responsibility are truly commendable. These young citizens remind us that integrity has no age and that such acts of honesty make a big difference in our society.
